How to get free CBD oil for veterans
We believe every military veteran deserves a chance to experience the wellness brought on by regular CBD oil consumption. That’s why this Memorial Day, Sky Wellness is proudly offering free CBD oil for veterans — all you need to do is claim your free CBD gift here.
With Memorial Day on the horizon, the Sky Wellness team has spent considerable time reflecting on our appreciation for the sacrifices made by military veterans. Day in and day out, veterans selflessly protected our best interests — especially in the face of great danger.
Life in the service also meant military veterans were exposed to heavy mental and physical tolls that may persist years after retirement. All of which left us wondering what the best way to express our gratitude might be.
This Memorial Day, Sky Wellness is giving free CBD oil for veterans. CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in hemp plants that is used for calming support.
If you’re a military veteran or know someone who is, the reasons for using CBD oil or other CBD products are numerous. Let’s start from the top by explaining what CBD is, how CBD can help support Veterans, and other details about CBD you should know.
What is CBD?
The most important thing to understand is what CBD is in the first place. CBD (cannabidiol) is a cannabinoid found in cannabis plants.
Cannabis plants include the kind that is famous for making you feel high — an effect derived from another cannabinoid called THC — and hemp plants. Even though CBD is found in both THC-rich cannabis plants and hemp, it’s primarily derived from hemp plants because they contain far higher concentrations of CBD and virtually no THC.
Research has shown that CBD can help support numerous issues. You’ve probably seen CBD as an ingredient in lotions, bath balms, and even chapstick — there are just so many wellness use-cases where a little CBD goes a long way.
For anyone apprehensive about using cannabis-related products because they don’t want to feel high, there’s no need to worry about CBD. Because CBD is not psychoactive, it doesn’t make you feel high. So, you can consume CBD products, such as Relief CBD Oil Drops for relaxation, without THC.
How Sky Wellness CBD oil is made

You’ll also find a QR code on the packaging that traces the products used to create your CBD oil all the way back through the supply chain from seed to sale.
Why CBD for veterans is helpful
CBD works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system, or ECS, present in the anatomy of all human beings. The ECS is responsible for regulating appetite, sleep, pain, and immune responses by emitting endocannabinoids (eCBs). CBD binds to the CB1 and CB2 ECS receptors and restores balance to them by spurring the production of additional eCBs.
CB1 receptors are associated with cognitive functions like coordination, emotional well-being, memory, etc. CB2 receptors affect your body’s immune, gastrointestinal, nervous systems, and cursory brain functions.
Considering the variety of issues that might arise for military veterans, such as stress from PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and lasting pain, CBD for veterans is worth considering.
How CBD treats PTSD & anxiety
Depending on who you ask, between 10 and 20% of all military veterans currently experience some form of PTSD, short for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. A similar number of veterans also report feelings of anxiety — a condition that often accompanies PTSD.
CBD for PTSD veterans is a known treatment that may support symptoms related to PTSD and anxiety. Several studies, including a landmark CBD for PTSD study from 2019, found that veterans who used CBD in tandem with counseling reported experiencing fewer symptoms.

MESA, Ariz. , July 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Patriot Supreme, the veteran-owned company behind 0.0% THC CBD for veterans and military families, has reported a substantial increase of 432% in its online sales since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent years, the company has developed a full line of CannaSafe Certified CBD oil products created for veterans struggling with both mental and physical disabilities.
Established in 2019, Patriot Supreme has experienced a steady increase in sales of its premium, 100% American-grown, all-natural CBD, but the company has seen its largest jump ever in recent months, largely due to the coronavirus pandemic. While the company has provided its CBD products primarily to veterans and military members to date, it has noted a shift in consumer behaviour, with a sizable portion of sales during COVID-19 coming from non-military members.
“What we are seeing here is, what we feel, a direct effect from what’s happening with the coronavirus. Our customers are suggesting that using CBD is helping to ease the symptoms of COVID-19. We are seeing people literally flocking to purchase high quality CBD for the potential relief it gives,” states Justin Elenburg , Patriot Supreme’s CEO and Founder.
According to Elenburg, while no research has been done to date to confirm customer experiences, it is obvious that more of the general public is seeking high quality natural products like CBD to help combat difficult daily life situations the coronavirus has brought to the forefront.
“There is no research performed yet to confirm this feedback, but more and more people are turning to CBD to help them deal with physical symptoms as well as mental, including the stress and anxiety of hard times associated with this pandemic,” he continues.
The company states that it expects sales growth to continue, particularly with the recent approval of an amendment by Congress, which will allow military service members to use products containing hemp and its derivatives, including CBD.
Patriot Supreme’s premium broad-spectrum CBD products have become highly touted amongst military members, garnering hundreds of positive reviews from users to date. Backed by CannaSafe certification and triple-certified to ensure full customer safety, the company’s line of products are lab-tested for CBD and THC content, as well as unwanted impurities and substances like pesticides.
In addition to the recent significant increase in sales, Patriot Supreme’s Hero Program, which provides veterans and their families with products they need but can’t afford, has exploded in popularity. Elenburg says the company is proud to help lend a helping hand to veterans on a regular basis, but this program has become even more critical in the pandemic.
“We want to ensure veterans and non-veterans alike do not need to go without products they find help benefit their daily lives. Our Hero Program also offers discounts to military personnel, first responders, teachers and students for this reason,” he notes.
The company continues to add to its substantial product line, recently launching its CBD gummies, which contain 0.0% THC and melatonin to help relieve anxiety and stress. Formulated to help support normal sleep cycles, its latest product is gluten-free, originating from US crops that are organic and GMO-free.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can develop after any life-threatening, alarming, or dangerous event. During such an experience, the person’s body triggers its flight-or-fight response to protect and prepare them. Once the danger is over, the majority of people will allow the event to recede from their memory causing no permanent harm. For a smaller majority who suffer from PTSD, they continually relive the event even when the danger has passed. Living in a constant state of stress, these people can have nightmares, generally don’t sleep well, are easy to startle and can be prone to angry outbursts. This affects not only the person who experiences PTSD but also those who live and work with them, having far-reaching consequences for our communities.
Surprisingly, the endocannabinoid system may play a part in the incidence and alleviation of PTSD. Exciting, new research is shedding light on the fact that people who suffer from PTSD may produce lower levels of anandamide, a cannabinoid-like substance produced naturally in the body. People who produce these higher levels suffer less from PTSD than those with lower levels. Supplementing with external sources of cannabinoids, such as a full-spectrum hemp oil, may help augment the body’s reservoir of this important factor. Our full spectrum hemp oil is produced by a very gentle and slow ethanol-based extraction method, which is done at -17°F. That means neither high heat nor high-pressure compromise the profile of the hemp flower or its cannabinoid or terpene content.
A widespread problem, PTSD affects close to twenty percent of U.S. combatants in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. PTSD, often associated with war veterans, can also happen to sexual abuse victims, survivors of car accidents and natural disasters, and people injured in a physical assault. It is estimated that close to eight million Americans suffer from PTSD (from other causes).
Given these statistics, it’s encouraging that in the last couple of years, the National Institute on Drug Abuse authorized an FDA-approved study to research the effects of smoked and vaporized cannabis on military veterans with PTSD. This includes a CBD-rich variety. This early research promises to open up exciting avenues to further our understanding of the integral part the endocannabinoid system plays in our emotional and physical health.
